Farm with Gary and Friends

Well, part of Gary’s holiday included that we go to the farm for the weekend. We arrived on the Friday, only expecting 2 of Gary’s friends, namely David and Martin.

We had problems on the Friday night on our game drive. I somehow managed to get the jeep stuck, so I had to endure a long walk back to our house to get the bakkie and a cell phone. I got the bakkie stuck as well and then Gary had to take the long walk home. He got my car (Golf) and we got back to the house after 4am.

Saturday was a long day as Martin and myself went to organize that the jeep and bakkie be towed back to base camp. It took some time but we came right. Some of Gary’s friends started to arrive and things were falling in place. Gary and Ralph went to go get the spit braai which Gary had organized.

The rest of us were drinking and socializing, saw a few faces which I had not seen for ages. The spit braai and gathering was a success and everybody enjoyed themselves.
