My Thoughts of You by George Serradinho

Hi all,

I wrote a poem sometime ago (19 March 2007) and thought I must share it with you. This was when I was in a difficult period of my life. Anyway, read it and let me know. It’s not suppose to be a full on poem, more just words put together.

My Thoughts of You

I lay in my bed every single night
thinking of what I love to do to you
they are only my thoughts now
as you have made a journey
that seems to be one without me.

I know we have both been hurt deeply
about what has happened and what was said
I know you have chosen another path
a path so far away from me

You seem to be slipping away
as each day passes by
A day for me that seems fruitless
not being with you

I long for you and me
to be one again
My heart is aching
with the way things are moving along

My thoughts run wild every time
run wild with scenes of me and you
together and living the life
but those are just thoughts and maybe even dreams

I know you have other things
on your mind and taking all of your time
I lay every night just thinking of you
watching the hands of time move along

The days seem to be like years
dragging along so slowly
I make more money now than I did before
but what is the purpose of having so much money
if you have no one to spend it with

I would give it all up
just to have 5 minutes with you
but you have taken another way
a way which there might be no way back to me

My heart is aching and the pain is to much
it bleeds non stop for you
and all you have to say
is …………………………..

My self esteem is lower than ever
I have no thirst for life and all
Life seems to be fading away day by day
I guess I can’t blame you as
you had given me many signs and I in return
looked the other way and ignored them all

This poem is written from me to you
I know it won’t change your mindset but
at least you know how I feel.
