another day and I thought I would share some stats with you. I must say that the stats are improving each month, but there is still plenty room for change. Anyway, have a look and let me know what you think. There will be a few links so go have a look at them, you never know when you’ll get surprised.

Wordpress plugins:

So when it comes to plugins, are you fussy? Do you try them all or are you selective. Im rather selective, I don’t many as they are just not for me or my site. I do still download the plugins from wordpress.org and make them available from my downloads page.

I try to keep the number of plugins installed down to a minimum, but lately I have started to try out a few. There are so many plugins to choose from, that it would make anyone go crazy. The ideas the authors come up with, they are surely boffins. So the list below is of the plugins I am currently using on this site. What plugins do think are a MUST and are just plain fun? Give us a shout.

• Akismet - Checks your comments against the Akismet web service to see if they look like spam or not.
• All in One SEO - Out-of-the-box SEO for your Wordpress blog.
• Audio player - Highly configurable single track mp3 player.
• Best Posts Summary - Create summary posts with the Best of Month, Week, or Day content. Based on number of comments or popularity (visits).
• Google XML Sitemaps - This plugin will generate a sitemaps.org compatible sitemap of your WordPress blog which is supported by Ask.com, Google, MSN Search and YAHOO.
• MaxBlogPress Ping Optimizer - Saves your wordpress blog from getting tagged as ping spammer by installing this plugin. Adjust your settings here.
• Odiogo Listen Button - Give your blog a voice! Add a “Listen Now” button to your blog so your readers can listen to your posts and download podcasts.
• One Theme Control Panel - Control Panel for One Theme By One Theme.

Conclusion

I must say that the stats above show an increase in everything and I’m glad, but the  heat is always on. I’m keen to hear from you, so step and shout something.
