Many people decide to start their business by blogging. While everyone is able to blog, there are some things that you can do that will make you a Blogging Superstar. And once you are a Superstar, you are likely to get more business and potentially make more money with your blog as well.

1. Make your blog informative and easy to read. The better quality of the information on the blog, the more likely people are to return time and time again to read what you have to say. They may also choose to subscribe to your blog so that they get emails when there are new posts, and as a result, support any products that are recommended through the blog.

2. Visit other blogs and share your knowledge. Quite often if you provide a guest post on someone else’s blog, they will let you put up a short biography, with which you can reference back to your own personal blog. This allows you to establish yourself as an expert and get more people to come visit your blog.

3. Stick to your niche and topic. Make sure that your blog sticks to a topic, instead of wandering around to all sorts of different topics. If people cannot follow and understand what your blog is about, they will not stick around. Keep your posts light, easy to find, and even entertaining if possible. People will return to your blog if they enjoy what they have read.

4. Keep your posts enjoyable. Make sure that you are writing in a fun and enjoyable method. If you are not comfortable writing in that style, you can find resources through the Internet to help you adapt your writing style. Make sure you do not use vulgar language, as this can turn a lot of people off to your blog.

5. Be personable. While you are working on making your blog posts lighter and enjoyable, you may need to change how you refer to people. Instead of writing in the third personal all the time, you should write as if you were having a conversation with someone. While you may feel that this is not professional, it allows your visitor to feel as if they are your friend and they will trust you more.

6. Let people know who you are. In order for people to build a relationship and learn to trust you and the information that you post, you have to let your visitors know who you are. This can be through a biography of yourself that you post on your blog, or by posting your own opinions as you write your blog posts. People do not like doing business with strangers; they prefer to know who they are dealing with.

Conclusion

There are many things that a person can do to become a blogger superstar and turn his blog into a residual income business. These are just some ideas, and there are likely more out there. One of the best things you can do is visit blogs of those that you feel are a superstar, and try to copy what they are doing.

Share knowledge: I do my best to share the ebooks I download with others, permitting the rights say I can. We as bloggers need to help others out and the net would become a place of knowledge transfer and things become better in the end.

Posts enjoyable: I agree with you fully there. I have been to some websites where the layout is simple, but the post details are mouth watering.

I enjoyed reading this post. I would like to add one more point to your list. Commenting on other blogs will help us get some recognition.

George Serradinho July 9, 2010 at 1:31 pm

@Sandeep – yes, that point is very valid and does make a difference. Although you might have to comment a lot to get the traffic, it will be well worth it in the end.

Nice post Lina and Dema, I think the main point of Blogging is sharing knowledge. Sharing and Communicating are the main skills a blogger will need to succeed in blogging.

George Serradinho July 10, 2010 at 8:02 pm

@Shiva – YES! Sharing knowledge is so important in anything we do today. Someone had to show you, so you need to show others. Ok, there are guys that learn for themselves, but sometimes there is no need to reinvent the wheel.

I download many ebooks and make them available here on my blog to others, this is one of my ways I share information/knowledge.

A really nice post. I wish to add a point to this: If you showcase yourself well in the Social Media Scene which is booming these days, you have a bright chance of becoming a blogging Superstar, but the qualities you mentioned are surely a must!

I would add one up. Be regular, cos i’ve seen blogs that at the beginning had posts almost every day but then simply stopped.

George Serradinho July 20, 2010 at 7:36 am

@spletne strani – yes, I’m also guilty of that as I have almost stopped blogging. BUT I’m going to get back into it now.

These type of post are usually precisely what keeps me personally going through the day. I found this post right after a good companion of mine suggested it to me. I perform a little blogging personally and I am always pleased to observe others adding quality information to the online community.
