The new buzz, excuse the pun, is Google Buzz which has just been introduced a while back. This WordPress plugin allows you to add a button to your posts/pages for users to share with others.
Basic Plugin Description
Automatically displays Google Buzz button for every post and pages. Google Buzz is shaping up to be an interesting new way to share content with your Gmail friends, so why not have a button for sharing blog posts/pages to the service? To make it work, you’ll need to make sure you’ve set up Google reader and included that in your Connected Sites on Buzz.

@SmashinGeeks – yes, I also think Google Buzz is cool and it also helps that there is a WordPress plugin to make things simplier for others.
I agree with you , its a nice application.

A simple way to add the Buzz to WP blogs, but I see you haven’t added it to your blog yet, is there a reason for that?
.-= Karen @ Blazing Minds´s last blog ..Project 365 – Photo A Day #48: Cold Shed Roof! =-.
@Karen – I will be adding it soon, but won’t be using the plugin. I will rather just use the java script as I’m trying to keep the total number of plugins to a minimum.
Totally agree. I have in fact started to learn ‘PHP ways’ of directly tweaking my blog because I have stopped adding any more plugins after I noticed that some are conflicting with the others and that having a crowd of plugins somehow slows load time.

@James – that’s good to know. I have coded the Tweetmeme, Digg, Shoutmeme, Facebook buttons at the bottom of my posts.
Another great plugin =)

@Themepremium – would love to know if this one worked for you or not, do let us know.
‘Google Buzz’ is a great plugin. But I loved the ‘All in One Webmaster’ even more. Thank you, George, for keeping an eye on the new things. It really helps.

@Alla Goltsman – no problem at all, glad to be of help.
I’m still trying to decide whether or not it’s going anywhere. My gmail friends don’t seem to be using it too much. Glad to know it’s there though. Thanks for the info.

.-= TechOfWeb´s last blog ..Wordpress 2.9.2 – Update Available =-.
@TechOfWeb – yes I don’t have it yet, but I write about plugins to share it with others, not because I use them only.
I am still confused weather I should Install this plugin or no. I think Google Buzz is just a guest for a few days, and its going to fall soon..

I think it is best to directly put the button by code — it is a simple code indeed.

@Dana – that’s what I will be doing, but this plugin is for users who don’t know how.
buzz really is buzzing around the domain..

@Alla Goltsman – I think you are a bit harsh, but true in a way. I also like using java script instead of installing plugins.

@chandan – would be nice if it can last long and not fade, but only time will tell. Lets wait a few months and see how things go.
Seems wonderful plugin. I had used couple of other plugin by Arpit. This might be good one too. I just wrote a post about one other plugin. Now I think I have to wrote about comparison of both
Anyways now we have to ride on that Google Buzz is going to buzz lot so We must have this plugin in place.
.-= Jaydip Parikh´s last blog ..How to add Google Buzz button to your Wordpress Blog ? =-.
@Jaydip – glad to hear. I have just made it available via using code instead of using a plugin as I want to lower the amount of plugins I’m using. I’m currently on 25 and need to bring it down to 20 or lower.
It took me a few days to get used to “Buzz” but I am kind of liking it now and it’s great I can add a plug in for readers to buzz my posts. The only thing that still bothers me about it is all the clutter from people who have their Twitter stream attached to it. I did this at first then turned it off.
.-= C3M Digital´s last blog ..KPFT 40th anniversary T-Shirt Contest =-.
@C3M Digital – thanks for your feedback, appreciate it. I guess it depends on the user itself, but I understand your point.
Very nice George, I need to see if they have the simple embed java code so I can put it wherever I want in my Thesis Theme.
.-= Extreme John´s last blog ..A Day in the Life of.. Episode 4 [video] =-.
@Extreme John – yes, you can embed simple code and I have done it here on my blog. I just can’t get the count to show which is a pitty, but I’m still looking around for that. I will send you the code via email, let me know if you need anything else.
A shame you must use gmail to use it. I get that they want to intertwine as much as possible, but also seems a little big-headed to assume so much.
.-= Dennis Edell´s last blog ..WANTED – Keyword Research Expert(s) =-.
@Dennis – gmail is cool and most users have it. I will say that one needs a gmail account for emails and it’s also FREE.
Wow a whole lotta assumptions goin on there.
I briefly tried it and it irritated me to no end, I’m quite satisfied with what I use.

Hi George,
I like this plugin more than other plugins for Google Buzz. But still I m not using Google buzz on my blog as personally I don’t like Google Buzz that much. And one more thing I also wrote a post about Google Buzz last week where I list 6 different plugins for Google Buzz Button plz do check it

@loveish – thanks for your feedback. I will go see your post now
I have put the Buzz button on my blog, but I don’t use it that much. I will monitor it and see how things go, I might leave it or take it off.
Hi George, this is a great plugin. However I prefer to have a snippet of simple code instead of plugin. Do you have any Buzz code?
.-= Jacobyap´s last blog ..Top 10 Funny Math Jokes =-.
@Jacobyap – I will update the post with the code I’m using although it does not have the count in yet, still searching for that code.
I recommend you to try WPBuzzer with count as shown on my blog and on Mashable. You can track visibly how many buzzes you get like Tweetmeme
.-= Tinh´s last blog ..Sex.com For Sale Again! Can It Break $14 Millions Record? =-.
@Tinh – it sounds great, but I don’t like to have many plugins installed. I’m using some code, but it does not display the count. I don’t think the count is that important to me, just my opinion.
I have just made it available via using code instead of using a plugin as I want to lower the amount of plugins I’m using. I’m currently on 20 and need to bring it down to 10 or lower.
.-= consumer credit counseling´s last blog ..Consumer Credit Counseling Service =-.
@consumer credit counseling – having 20 is very good, but it all depends what kinds of plugins. Having 10 or lower would mean that your website is very bare or has no functionality, that’s my opinion only.
I will wait for sometime and then if I feel that it is really blooming then I will surely install this plugin, thanks for the post.
.-= Carson Rose and Associates´s last blog ..Services =-.
@Carson Rose – I know what you mean, but I thought I would try it and see what the results are. Thanks for your feedback, you are not the first to say ‘not now’.
I’m waiting for a buzz count or something similar plugin and script. This too look good.

I have other alternatives for adding Google Buzz button on either Blogger or Wordpress platform and here is the link for the noobish tutorial: Google Buzz it Button for Blogger and Wordpress Blogs
@bloggerGeeze – I have also not used a WP plugin, but code. I find it easier to do and it also keeps the number of WP plugins to a minimum.
