Advertising spots and ads are one way to create an income from your site/blog. I wanted to share with you the new ad spots available on Serradinho Blog. I currently have 3 spots available on my blog.
After reading a post on Devils’ Workshop by Anil Gupta about ways to sell more ads on your blog, I decided to share with you all the new ad spots available on my blog.
I’m using BuySellAds for theses particular ad spots as they take care of receiving payments and it took me less than 5 minutes to setup. I can approve ads before they show and the user can see many other stats about my blog such as:
- Alexa rank
- Page rank
- RSS subscribers
- Compete rank
- Inbound links
- Twitter followers
Ad Spot 1
At this stage, I’m currently offering two 468×60 banners at the top of my blog. The price is not that bad if you ask me, it’s currently set at $35. Yes, get unlimited impressions on my blog at a prime spot as well. This ad spot will get many users attention and one could capitalise on it.
Ad Spot 2
The other ad spot available is the big 728×90 at the bottom just above my footer, it is also set at $35. Now, one would ask why there? I have done some research on the links and banners displayed there and they are getting many clicks.
So, don’t wait to long as the ad spots might be taken faster than you can say 1,2,3. Ok, I hope you laughed about that as I did 
Final Thought
I could make other spots available to certain users who have special requests if they contact me in this regard.
So, what do you think about the ad spots? Are they in prominent spots and do you also use BuySellAds?

@SmashinGeeks – thanks for that. I saw it on another site and had a look and got it to work nicely. I just need to see if I stay with the reddish colour or not. I don’t think it blends in with the rest of my blog, what do you think.

Glad to see you using BuySellAds as well, I’m using BuySellAds for quite some months and I simply like their features, also you don’t have to look for advertisers and they do all the work. I made about $150+ for the best month, and now I have less advertiser, perhaps due to less update on my blog and traffic dropped. I’m going to work harder in this few days.

Hi George my blog stats are just like same, except my blog hosting. I am also trying to monetize my blog by selling ads, but the advertiser want very high amount of traffic for buy ads. So how many daily traffic you get?

@chandan – I have not looked at my daily stats for sometime, but just be strong and hang in there. The advertisers will come.
It seems to me that your blog loading time is too bad. According to pingdom, your blog loading time is nearly 25s. See it here: http://tools.pingdom.com/?url=http://www.serradinho.com/Blog&treeview=0&column=objectID&order=1&type=0&save=true
This is very important as Google will skip some parts of your blog while crawling. My blog (after using CDN) loading time is less than 3s now. My traffic up too. This is also a great factor to attract more advertiser, I joined BSA but not put on my blog yet, just got $30 last time.

@Tinh – I have double checked your details and you are right for pingdom, the loading time is bad there.
But I have gone and checked using other tools:
iWebTool.com – it shows +-2.4 seconds to load
WebSlug.info – it shows between 9 and 13 seconds to load
WebWait.com – it shows +-10 seconds to load
UpTrends.com – it shows +-15 seconds to load
Can I maybe ask you how long it takes to load when you visit my blog? It would be nice to know as if I open it, it goes quick.

I haven’t used any ads on my blog yet nor have I bought any. I may consider buying some but before I do that I’ll want to know the demographics of the blog or site visitors.
I’m assuming the $35 you are charging is per month. The top placement seems better to me but if you tested the bottom placement and it was good I don’t dispute it.
I guess I’d be too late to ask for the spots anyway since 1,2,3 is up.
I hope you did fill the spots seriously.
I’ll keep you in mind in case I do decide to place some ads.
