Anti-Smoking Advertisements

Below are some anti-smoking ads, I thought they were excellent and wanted to share them with you all. It amazes me what people can up with and how they can try and persuade some smokers to quit.

Stefan August 19, 2009 at 12:50 pm

The first one have a really good design, but the gun is probably my favourite. Every pack of cigarettes have big labels with “smoking kills” on them, but still people don’t care because it seems unreal. I think they should have to update their warning with something people can relate to a bit more.

@Stefan – if people are going to die from something, let them at least know what it was, lol.

Greg Ellison August 19, 2009 at 1:35 pm

I like the first one and the last one, but they do convey the message. Greg Ellison

Nehh August 19, 2009 at 6:37 pm

I liked the first two and “ash & burn” pic… but I must say last three images are kind of creepy… but they will surely convey the message to smokers and also prevent people from trying cigarettes.

@gautam – non-smokers think so, but not actually.

Stefan August 20, 2009 at 1:12 pm

I agree with you and think this is really weird. I know you can get addicted by smoking because of the chemical substances but you don’t get addicted by one cigarette. Before smoking for your first time you most certainly know it will kill you, so why begin smoking in the first place? I know the classic response is “peer pressure” but I’ve never once been forced into doing something by my friends with “peer pressure”. Sure when I was younger they asked if I was sure I didn’t want a cigarette but after saying no a few times they simply stopped asking.

George Serradinho August 20, 2009 at 1:20 pm

@Stefan – you seem to have had great friends when you were younger. Peer pressure is the main issue when you are young, thanks for your feedback.

Mayur August 20, 2009 at 5:01 am

That’s really an awesome collection, hope some smokers would learn from them. But many would deny saying “Photoshoped” ;)

Kurt Avish August 22, 2009 at 1:36 pm

Lol. These ads are really fueled by a very good dose of imagination. :P Anyway I finally decided to stop smoking. Been about two weeks now. I hope I’ll keep to the decision.
