I have just applied for 2010 Soccer World Cup tickets via the Fifa.com website. They have just started phase 2 and I’m really excited. I’m applying for the 8 tickets. I could be rejected, it’s a touch and go situation.
I applied for 2 games, one for the 19th of June and the other for the 25th of June. Both games are going to be played at Loftus, which is in Pretoria. I applied for 4 tickets at each game, namely tickets for my Dad, Gary, Greg and then of course myself.
The tickets I applied for are for category 2 which would cost R840 each. My credit card is going to take a big hit, but I think it will be worth it.
I do hope that I get accepted for the 2 games as I would like to go and watch. I don’t think South Africa will ever host another Soccer World Cup event in my lifetime.
Extra note: We already have tickets to go watch games in Polokwane, that’s where my parents stay so I’m at least guaranteed 2 games.

@Nihar – I watched the Cricket World Cup when it was in South Africa some time ago and it was wild.
I have told myself that I need to start going to more big events, kind of spoil myself and see what it’s all about.
Soccer is only popular in some parts of India, people are crazy for cricket Here
