So, I have been thinking about writing a review and have come up with a few points to note and discuss and would like your opinion on this. There might be things that I have missed, but I’m sure you will let me know.
Also note that not all reviews would have these points, they are just a guideline of what I could discuss.
First impressions:
- How long does the site take to load?
- Does the site catch ones attention straight away?
- Is the site direct in saying what it’s all about or do you have to dig deeper?
After browsing a bit longer:
- How easy is is to navigate through and find what you are looking for?
- Would you sign up for RSS feed, email subscription, newsletter or even join their forum?
- Is there an about/contact/sitemap page?
- Search functionality?
Comments about the site in detail:
- Do you enjoy the site’s content?
- Do you like the way the site has been structured? (content/sidebars/footer/etc)
- What do you think of the colours used?
- Graphics quality and their loading time?
- Are there too many distractions?
- Browser compatibility?
- Do they have any video’s?
- Can you bookmark the site with ease?
- Use of technologies? (new or old)
- Coding and Validation?
- Do they advertise any affiliate services or programs?
- Is the site DoFollow?
- How easy is it to leave a comment?
- Does the site enable comment gravatars?
- Do they offer advertising services?
- If site is mobilized or not?
- Partner and links provided?
Rankings and ratings:
- Google Page Rank?
- Alexa Ranking?
- Any feedback or reviews via Google search?
Conclusion:
- Give a small conclusion at the end.
- Give an overall rating out of 10.
- Let the site owner know that you have reviewed their site.

Wow..looks like a lot of things to focus on. I guess it depends on whether you want to focus on the content or the design of the page. You can do both I guess, but your review post will be quite long
