Blogging is a great way to express yourself and share your passions with the world. It allows you to experiment in web design as well as write about the things you find the most interesting.

However, it can be disheartening to create a blog only to find it completely devoid of traffic and visitors. Luckily, there are ways to make sure that your blog does not end up collecting dust in the neglected corners of the World Wide Web.

blog guide success A Beginners Guide to Successful BloggingThere is no doubt that you find a great number of things interesting. But if you want to start a successful blog, you should only focus on one of the things you find interesting, or a few of those things that are closely related. The goal is to narrow down your blog’s focus or subject, such as posting only about your personal day-to-day life or only about the latest technology news.

Narrowing your blog’s focus will help it to establish a firm identity, which in turn will help to attract those who are also interested in your blog’s chief topic. This works much the same way as television networks.

Every television network features programs that focus on the same general thing, so if you wanted to watch something funny and family-friendly, you would tune into a certain network, whereas if you wanted to watch something related to science, you would tune into another.

Your blog should offer something similar, so that when readers want to read about a certain subject, they will know to look up your particular blog. If you post about too many unrelated things, your blog may be too random and sporadic to attract a loyal audience.

Regular posting is also essential. You should strive to post on your blog at least once a week so that visitors will know that your blog is alive and active. Outdated posts can be tell-tale signs of a “dead” blog, or one that will no longer be updated because the blog owner has abandoned it.

However, in addition to posting regularly, you should also ensure that your posts are informative, entertaining, and most of all, easy to read. Having quality posts is essential in attracting and keeping an audience, and it will also lead to more comments as well.

This means that you should read over your posts before you publish them, checking for clarity as well as grammatical and spelling accuracy. A consistently poorly-written blog will typically lose readership because visitors do not like having to struggle to get through a post.

Blog design is important as well. Just like how ease of use and clarity is important in blog post content, it is also important in design. Your blog should be laid out in a way to where your blog posts are easily found and other aspects of your site, such as links to other websites and other pages within your blog, are organized neatly.

The text should also be easy to read and graphics should not compete with the content of the website. A well-designed blog will invite readers to stay and read more, whereas a poorly-designed blog will actually drive readers away.

Finally, being courteous and receptive to visitors and other bloggers will drive up readership to your blog. Find other bloggers who blog about the same subject you do, or about something similar.

For example, if you run a blog about marketing practices, find other marketing blogs as well as other blogs in the general business field. Leave thoughtful comments on those blogs on a regular basis and soon you will find those blog owners and their visitors dropping by your blog as well.

Final Thought

And if you create a well-designed and well-written blog, you may find that you will have a blog is a success with many loyal readers in no time.

I came to know that for getting success in blogging we must be open for guest blogs.

I want guest bloggers for my blog. Can you suggest how I may get guest bloggers?

You will get Guest Bloggers naturally, if you have a nice design + good traffic + good PR. If you satisfy this equation, you don’t need to search for them. They will come to you.

A good website interface, simpe yet good looking theme and fast loading site helps people stay on our sites more. Now that google has openly said that loading time of site is also a factor for SERP,people should not load their blog with unnecessary plugins which inturn will increase the loading time.
