Well, December has passed and I actually just got back from holiday and my inbox was full of mails. It has taken me some time to go through and get things done. It’s time to reflect on what happened in the month of December and hope to give you guys a better perspective on Serradinho Blog.

I know my site usage is not as high as other bloggers, but I have seen a decrease in stats from last month and I know it has to do with posting less.
- Visits: 4,925 (Previous – 5,015)
- Pages: 11,214 (Previous – 14,222)
- Pages/Visit: 2.28 (Previous – 2.84)
- Bounce: 63.86% (Previous – 63.17%)
- Average time: 3:43 (Previous – 5:04)
- New visits: 64.35% (Previous – 64.25%)
Banner ads:
These are banners in my sidebar and below the comment form. The banner ads range from 125×125 and 115×30. I see that Thesis and StudioPress are taking the lead and I even made my first sale for StudioPress.
Traffic:
- Google / Organic: 40.49%
- Direct: 18.54%
- Feedburner referal: 5.99%
- yahoo / Organic: 3.25%
- diythemes.com referral: 2.17%
Browsers:
As you can see from the stats below, Fx is taking the lead by far and there is no real competition. I see Chrome and Safari are getting kind of close, seems to be a good battle.
- Firefox: 63.76%
- IE: 15.43%
- Chrome: 9.44%
- Safari: 7.68%
- Opera: 2.19%
Free Downloads
As some of you already know, I have many free downloads available ranging from ebooks, plr articles, images and graphics, WordPress and Thesis tutorials (new category added). The total downloads for the month was over 5,100. Below are a few stats that might interest you.
Overall Totals:
- Total Hits: 85,101 (Previuos – 79,995)
Category Totals:
- eBook Hits: 29,607 (Previuos – 28,028)
- PLR Articles Hits: 22,426 (Previuos – 21,547)
- Images and Graphics Hits: 7,523 (Previuos – 7,384)
- WordPress Hits: 24,158 (Previous – 21,914)
- Thesis Tutorials: 1,387 (Previous – 1,014)
So make sure you stop by and never miss any new downloads, use them or share them. It’s cool by me 
Income:
- Services Rendered: $785 (Overseas clients)
- Services Rendered: $342 (South African clients)
- Thesis Sales: $28
- StudioPress Sales: $13
- Google Adsense: $15
That makes my total income for December 2009, a killer of $1183. This was high and I was very happy with the results and hope that the coming months would be the same or even better.
Anyways, my traffic from search engines is doing well for me, thanks to you all

@Deepika – most blogs are doing a monthly post showing best posts, stats, income, etc. Maybe try it and show what you want to.
That is still my dream George and I think only bounce rate 63% is my concerns about your stats, that is not good for PPC advertisement but sometimes are good for CPA and PPA. My advice is that you should target to new social networking sites like Digg, Mixx and Reddit. I encourage you to put Digg close to Twitter then readers can share it easily rather putting it at the end of your post in smaller corner, not visible to most of readers

Your traffic dropped not because of less posting I guess, I noticed that most of the bloggers experienced the drops during December due to Christmas and New Year. My traffic dropped a bit for December too.
2010 is a good year and we’re going to work harder! Remember the 10k comments challenge haha!

@TechChunks – I know my stats are not that bad, but I also know that I could increase it by at least 10 fold if I really put 1000% work in. Maybe in time, I will hit the 100,000 page views mark.
Traffic decrease is expected due to holiday season but the good thing is you earning pretty good amount of money.

@Diabetis – well, it depends on what is required from me. Depending if a customization service or installation, etc the price will be low or high. Some of my customizations I do is for free as it’s more of a small change, while others are huge and take more time. If it takes me less than 5 minutes, I would not charge anything (more of a favor).
It seems that the best way to earn online is to offer a service.
