Firefox Plugins to Increase Blogging Productivity (Series 1)

by Ricky on November 20, 2009

Submit to Shoutmeme.com

No matter whether you are a part time or a full time blogger you will always be worried about how much quality time do you spend on an internet and especially blogging? Blogging needs quality time and effort.

But the burning question is

  1. What do you mean by quality time and effort?
  2. Is there any way to evaluate your efficiency/productivity as a blogger?

To be frank even I don’t have the answers of the above questions (I doubt that even a pro blogger can tell you the exact answer). But it doesn’t means that there is no way we can measure our blogging productivity. The simple answer of the above question is Firefox add-ons can help you to increase your blogging productivity. I am listing some of the most useful Firefox add-ons that can help you to increase your productivity as a blogger.

But before jumping on to the list let me tell you the areas we are covering here

It is no more a secret that commenting on other blogs (dofollow/nofollow) can not only increase the traffic to your website but it also helps you to create your own network.

Social networking websites can help you to boost the relationship and traffic to your website.

Submitting your website to directories and social networking site will not only gives you the backlink but it will also boost your blog visibility in search engine.

Now let us jump on to the Firefox add-ons for bloggers

1) easyComment Plugin

easyComment: easyComment plugin helps you to comment easily on other blogs. As a blogger I used to comment on 40-50 blogs per day but after using this plugin my commenting frequency has increased upto 70-80 blogs per day. It is really helpful especially when you are visiting the new blog.

You can read more about how easyComment can help you in commenting from a previous guest post by John.

2) InFormEnter Plugin

InFormEnter: How boring it is to fill up same information again and again when you submit your website to related directories and search engines?

InFormEnter does the boring job of filling up the form for you. All you have to do is create your own profile in InformEnter plugin and submit your website to search engines and directories

Small tip: Always fill the profile according to form you see on directories. i.e Yourname, Your email address, Your blog title, blog URL, blog description, blog tags and keywords.

3) Yoono Plugin

Yoono: Yonno make your life simpler by bringing all the famous social networking website to the Firefox sidebar. Here is the list of social networking websites and feature offered by yoono.

Supports social networking websites likeFacebook, myspace, Imeem, Twitter, Flickr and Firendfeed and many more.

It lets you easily share your favorite links, videos, images with your friends.

Discovery widget: lets you find similar websites and search for your favorite products and articles using built in real-time search engine.

Final Thought

If you have any doubt or suggestions from the details given above, feel free to leave a comment and I’ll get back to you. All comments are welcomed as usual, so don’t be shy now.

I’ll be sharing some more Firefox add-ons in the upcoming posts with Serradinho readers, so make sure to subscribe so that you don’t miss out .

I stopped using Firefox because it went really slow for some reason. I now use Chrome which is good except for the lack of decent plugins. You would have thought Google would have resolved this by now.

Perhaps I should give Firefox another shot?

I have been using the Easy comment Plugin since along time now.
But I have a doubt: Is the inFormEnter plugin really helpful? Mostly we need to fill different forms with different information, So do we need to prepare different Forms for each info?

Right! Now, I think this inforenter plugin is related to it and probably could be better in that you could have multiple profiles, if I’m not mistaken.

I thought when we fill in all the information once in the blog and it will be appeared there for the second time you visit? But I’m not sure about that, I used to fill in information once in a new blog, and I don’t have to fill in second time.

I’ve never used these tools before, but firefox is my favourite browser, it’s much more faster than IE.

Lee

Lee you are right that information will be there but what will happen when you visit the new blog? what if you clear your cookies and browser history?
You have to type again and again those boring information. You can also enter your signature in the form (like Regards, Lee in your case).Just a one click from easyComment will fill all the details for you;)
InFormEnter is really helpful when you submit your blog to different search engines and directories.
