From the title above, you can see that it’s someone birthday and they are special to me. Well, who’s is it? It’s my son, Tyron. Today he turns 7 and he is everything a father could ask for. He has grown up so fast and he is one small gentlemen in my eyes.
I can still remember when he was born and it feels like yesterday. Yes, times flies, but the memories last forever. The memories he has given me and others will last a lifetime, some funny and some serious moments 
I don’t have a recent photo of him so I’m using one from his first day at school photo’s that was taken in January this year. I will be taking more photo’s this weekend when he is with me. I’m just so excited for him, he is one step closer to becoming a man. I must mention that kids of today are so much more smarter than we think and he sure has surprised me in so many ways.
He has already told me what he wants for his birthday, a Ben 10 playstation 2 game valued at just under R400. I told him 2 weeks ago that I would give him R200 cash and he could spend it on anything he wants. On clothes, movies, sweets and games, it does not matter. My mother is also giving him money so he should be able to buy the game and still have spare change.
My mother always spoils him rotten and has organised some party packs with assorted sweets for him and his classmates. I will be driving through to his school early today to drop it off. It’s a 85km drive there and back, but he is totally worth it and much more I’m sure all the kids will love it, I know I do. My mother has a way of doing these small things that mean a lot to me and even Tyron. Thanks Mom, you are the best.

Happy Birthday for your son, George.
I understand what you mean; they grow up too fast and that means we grow up too. It’s funny how grandmothers/grandfathers are dealing with children in a way that we think it’s spoling them, however I think they don’t mean to do so, rather it’s just ‘today’ they have this spare-time to spend with them because ‘yesterday’ they were busy rasing us up.

Happy Birthday Tyron! Your love and pride in your son is so apparent in your writing, it’s adorable.
My Mother in law spoils my sons also. She has two grandchildren and they are both mine so they get all her attention. My oldest loves it.
My parents have 8 grandchildren, so not so much on spoiling when it comes to gifts, but they spoil them enough with love.
