Hectic start to holiday

Hi everyone,

so my leave has been a bit hectic with non-stop events and tasks. I have tried to break it down for you.

Friday

Left work after 4pm, had a cool Amstel beer at 6pm. Good friends arrived from the UK so we had a killer braai. Lets just say it was an interesting evening, where friends met, ate and had good conversation.

Saturday

Spent the whole day recovering, it was like a ‘man down’ situation. I am not as young as I use to be and the evenings take their toll on your body. Not much happened.

Sunday

Sunday morning drove to Willem as he was going sky diving. Friends had planned to go sky diving as a group. I was just going for moral support and I had nothing better planned in any case.

Willem took sometime to get out as he was finishing up with the breakfasts, he runs a tea garden and guest house. Lets just say that they all enjoyed it and maybe I’ll do it one day, you never know.

Dropped Willem off and headed off to my other friend, Jony. They had a baby boy on 10th December, Rohan. Anyway, he wanted me to help him with a couple of tasks on Monday. We had another killer braai, this time it was just Jony, Leandri and myself.

Monday

Woke up early as we had to take Leandri’s car in for a service in Midrand. Tried to get Norton 360 for Leandri’s laptop, but the wholesaler where I normally purchase computer accessories was out of stock.

After that, we drove to Silverton to a friends house to see if I could get my laptop. Warren recons maybe on Tuesday, will have to see.

Then drove to Sinoville to visit Celeste and Mike, Jony actually had some hard labour planned. We had to cut some planks thinner, that took about an hour or so. Spent the next 2 hours having great conversation with Mike and Celeste and finally ended up playing 30 Seconds and eating pizza.

Then we had to pick up Leandri’s car which was back in Midrand, then off to Jony’s place. I had forgotten my toiletries and clothes there, being on leave has made my mind slow down.

Arrived home at about 5pm, time to relax as tomorrow I’m sure something will present itself to me.

I hope to get some pictures of the weekend and will post it up here for all to see.
