Hi everyone, I hope your day has been great. It’s a Friday so it’s already happening for me.
Anyway, I need help in identifying a good WordPress plugin developer as I have a small project that I need done. I know I could probably do some search on Google, but would like your opinion first if you know of someone or have used a few and have some points for me to jot down or ask.
WordPress Plugin Crossroad
I had actually typed all the requirements in this post for the plugin, but deleted it as I don’t want to give to much away as others might like the idea and jump to it before me.
Lets just say that I will need more back end work than front end (admin panel side with maybe 2 to 5 screens). I’m sure it could be done with only 2 screens depending on the developers expertise.
I will be creating the database where the information will be stored, so they just need to access the table and either insert/update or remove entries.
I will want to be the sole owner of this plugin and code. Once the code is done and working well, I will want to maintain the code myself and make enhancements as time goes by.
I also don’t know how much I would be paying for this plugin and will maybe rely on what others have paid. Please let me know who you think is the best person for the job and more or less what rate I would be looking at.

I am constantly wanting custom plugins made for my blog, are there even service providers like that out there or do you pretty much have to stay limited to what has already been made?

@Greg – I actually wanted to know from my commentators first as you might have used someone.
I would definitely think you could find someone to help with that sort of the at Elance.com. We use them all the time for writing projects, site design and programming and they have had great success with them. I have thought of a few plugins I would like to create, but just haven’t gotten around to find someone to make them for me yet.

@Jason – yes, it will be in php. I will check out everyone’s suggestions and then contact the people and see what they can do.
I’m with the others. Elance.com is good. There are other great freelance websites. I would also recommend checking out DP (Digital Point). DP has some very skilled users.

Custom plugin is really nice as it makes your blog more professional. Elance has number of freelances who can do the job. I am also into Guru(.)com. I think there are also nice programmers in the site. I am a member of it – but does only finance and accounting services. Your blog is great.

I know a pro PHP programmer. His name is Gautam. You can get him at http://gaut.am ! But I am not sure whether he would like to work on this or not!
