Ice Age 3 Movie

Another excellent movie to add to my list. Tyron and myself have watched a few, but I never posted them on the site, maybe just a bit lazy and trying to enjoy my weekends.

On Sunday, Tyron and I went to go watch Ice Age 3. We have already seen the previous 2 and knew this one would be of the same quality judging from the previews. The show started at 10am so we had time to actually wake up and get ready in an orderly fashion icon smile Ice Age 3 Movie

Tyron is not a late sleeper, so he was already up just after 7am. I really can’t sleep either as he makes a lot of noise with whatever he does. We arrived with about 15 minutes to spare, enough time to get a large popcorn each and a drink. Tyron loves slush puppy, so I bought him a medium and he was not to impressed that it wasn’t a large. Lets put it this way. I spent more on the eats and sweats than the 2 movie tickets for us.

Anyway, Tyron had already seen the movie, but wanted to go watch with his Dad. Thats me icon smile Ice Age 3 Movie The movie was excellent and we both laughed and enjoyed it.

Tyron told me that he likes Sid and Diego, but I like Scrat and Buckminster (or Buck for short). A kind of character that I can relate to in a funny way. He seems to be a loner and has some interesting tails to speak of, ha ha ha.

Ellie and Manny are expecting their first child, and Manny is obsessed with making life perfect and safe for the family. Sid grows jealous of Manny and Ellie and ‘adopts’ three apparently abandoned eggs that he finds in an icy underground cavern.

scrat and scratte Ice Age 3 Movie

Scrat does everything he can to retrieve his precious acorn. His efforts are complicated by the presence of Scratte, a female of his species, with whom he is instantly smitten.

Scratte outsmarts him a number of times, once by demonstrating her ability to glide like a flying squirrel, but the two eventually fall in love after Scrat saves her from falling to her death in the lava river.

I’m not going to give you all the details, but this is a true family movie for the young and old and not one to be missed. If you have not watched it, do yourself a favor and go now. Yes, right now! If you have watched it, who is your favorite character and what was your favorite part?

I loved the first movie. The second was decent, but not as great as the first one. Looking forward to see it in Sweden within a couple of months/weeks. Yeah, we do live under a rock when it comes to theatre..

@Doug – I’m sure they will love the new one, which characters are yours and your kids favorite?

Doug Dillard July 15, 2009 at 9:14 am

I am not sure if my kids have favorites in this series. My favorite character is Manny the Mammoth (I think that is his name)…as I am a big Ray Romano fan. I love them all though!
