Newest WordPress Plugins 19/11

Here are this weeks newest WordPress plugins. Have a look and let me know if you are using them or trying them out. I have been a bit sick and have not posted much this week, I do apologize for that.

Backend Redirect
Another simple problem solving plugin. If a user tries to login to wordpress but is not an admin, they are redirected to the homepage.

Note that this assumes you have built your own login form – if not, it may be a messy process for ‘subscribers’ or other roles to log in.

WP Memcached Manager
If you use Memcached, then sometimes it’s handy to be able to administer your Memcached instances from inside WordPress.

With this plugin you can check your Memcached server is running, some basic usage stats and initiate cache flushes. In future version you’ll be able to do more useful Memcached admin things.

Dev and Staging Environment Plugin
This provides developers with the ability to run separate Dev and Staging environments without having to manually change configuration settings both in the file system and database when migrating between environments.

ShopperPress DataFeed Importer
Plugin was developed for importing csv files download from datafeed providers such as affiliate networks. This plugin allows you to style post content using WYSIWYG editor before importing is done. Custom Fields and all other required post elements are automatically generated during importing.

Easy Review Builder for WordPress
This plugin allows you to easily insert attractive star-based review summaries into your blog by way of shortcodes. The attractive ratings box scales for mobile displays. It supports multiple rating categories and an optional auto-calculated summary.

Remove IP
Remove IP it’s a really-really-simple plugin to not log the IP address from the people that comment on your wordpress installation.

thanks for the list, will check them out, however why should we not log the ip address of the commentators, i see no big reason to do so… furthermore if there is comment spam problems the ip address could be useful…

@Uttoran – you could block an IP by accident and then the user can’t view your site. Always be careful with IP addresses.

In the case of shared hosting, you could block hundreds of users when you only meant for one.

Hi George,
List is really looking good, I think, I will try ‘Easy Review Builder for Wordpress’ on my new offers site.

BTW, Smooth Slider is really looking good on your blog. I am going to publish a list of live demos of Smooth Slider and will definitely include Serradinho over there. :)
Thanks for using this plugin.

@Sanjeev – thanks man. I have done a plugin review and it be published next week Tuesday. One thing that I would recommend is giving the option of the Slider Title to be left or right aligned. I also had a problem where I had selected a future post that had not been published yet, but it was showing.

These plugins all seem way to technical for me, to be honest I did not even understand most of what they did. I will take a pass on testing any of these out. I always look forward to this round up. Looking forward to next weeks list!

Same to Dan, all these plugins seems technical for me and I don’t understand them at all. Awaiting for the next list, hope the next list will come with something easier and useful plugins to improve our blog.

Cheers,
Lee
