I was surfing the WordPress plugins page and thought of sharing some of the new plugins that have been made available to us, the users. The developers work around the clock to come out with new ideas and sometimes create some weird and funny plugins.
They are in no particular order, just listed below. Have a look and let me know what you think about them.
Amazon Niche Store
The Amazon Niche Store plugin allows you to automatically display Amazon products on your blog. You just add a simple tag to a post or page, along with your Amazon Tracking ID, and the relevant keywords for the products to be displayed. You can also optionally specify the number of rows and columns to specify the layout of your Amazon store.
Changelogger
For many many people a changelog is a very important thing; it is all about justifying to your users why they should upgrade to the latest version of a plugin. Changelogger shows the latest changelog right on the plugin listing page, whenever there’s a plugin ready to be updated.
Social Media Manager
Providing the ability to manage how social media sites see your blog or website. Manage your facebook sharing image, update twitter status for multiple accounts and view your digg submissions.
WP-Addpub
WP-addpub is a very simple plugin that let’s you upload your banners or your html and javascript code to your blog. Can be used, also, for any kind of script (google adsense, paypal donate, youtube video…)
Plugin Name
If you would like to access the conent which makes up a page/status post then you can use this function to name an array slot which makes up the $wp_query array and display that content outside of the wp loop.
External Files
External files provides a shortcode [external] which can be used to insert the contents of a file or url into the current post or page. The plugin will automatically format the text based on the extension (for files) or mime type (for urls), using Alex Gorbatchevs’ Syntax Highlighter javascript.
Twittley button
Twittley allows your users to tweet your posts to their Twitter followers without leaving your site. Tweets are also displayed at www.twittley.com.
underConstruction
Makes it so your site can only be accessed by users who log in. Useful for developing a site on a live server, without the world being able to see it.
Adsense Stats
Adsense Stats is a widget for WordPress to display detailed statistics about your Google Adsense earnings without requiring login into your Google account.
Alpha’s Categories Widget
There is already several Categories Widget in Wordpress Plugins Database, such as Breukie’s Categories Widget. But when I upgrade my site to Wordpress2.8,it doesn’t work any more.So I wrote this.It displays your categories using the wplistcategories/wpdropdowncategories function, utilizes parameters for this function. You can set up one or more this widget in your sidebar(s).
So, what do you think? Did you actually install any of them?

@Michael – you are sure right about that
Nice list of new plugins. I’ve always been grateful to plugin authors who offer them for free. It makes blogging a lot easier, especially for newbies like me. By the way, is this blog of yours updated already to the latest WP version? I have not yet done it to my blog for fear that it might mess up the whole site. I hear some plugins don’t work anymore. I especially dread its possible effects on the plugins that allowed me to enter php codes within the articles and the text widgets.
