Join Serradinho’s Revenue Sharing Program

Revenue sharing programs are all over the place and Serradinho Blog has jumped on the wagon and made it possible for all guest writters. Yes, guest writters on my blog will be able to make some extra cash via Google Adsense.

It has been a long time coming and I have finally made the jump to start sharing revenue with Serradinho’s guest writters. They will be able to enter their Adsense Id and the rest will be take care of automatically. The money will be deposited directly into their account as their Adsense Id will be used.

Revenue Sharing Program

Controlling the Revenue Sharing Program

I’m using a wonderful WordPress Plugin which I review a few days back and it’s called Author Advertising. This plugin simplifies my life totally and makes it much easier for me to concentrate on other blog aspects.

Anyway, this revenue sharing will help the guest writters to earn some extra cash. I’m not saying that you will make thousands, but every penny counts and adds up in the end.

Ad Placement

Currently, we are only catering for Google Adsense and it is located just under the post titles. This means that it will only be shown on posts and no where else. The size is 300×250, which is big and will be noticed. I might think of opening other sections of my blog for revenue sharing, but I will start off with one for now.

Details to insert (dashboard)

Once you are logged in via the backend, look at the dashboard panel on the left hand side. You will notice a link for ‘Adsense Advertising’. Click on it and it will show a page detailing more informtion on what needs to be done.

Right at the bottom will be two fields that need to be populated. This is the information that will be used. Make sure you enter the details correctly, otherwise it will not work at all.

  • Your Advertising ID = pub-8747996777295847
  • Google Ad slot – 300×250 = 1630598386

While I don’t agree with the placement, I think this is an awesome thing to do for guests. Personally I’ll have to think of something else, since I don’t wish to use adsense or anything similar on DEDC.

I know I’ve said it before, but Io definitely still plan to be a guest here. It might be an interesting way to boost my revenue…

I stopped using Adsense a while back with 30+dollars sitting there. lol

@TechOfWeb – you are right, I did not mention that at all. At this stage I have set to show my Adsense details 60% of the time and show writters 40%. I’m still checking the details out and might make it 50/50.

@George: sorry for commenting again as I forgot to add this message in mine first comment.

Just it wud be beneficial for you if u cud also stress on the point that u are giving a free (dofollow ? nofollow) backlink to guest-authors and in this way they can increase thier PR.

hope me too post on ur blog soon :-)

@TechOfWeb – well, all guest authors have a link to their own website which is from the user bio. The link is not altered or changed.

The main point about guest blogging here at Serradinho is the revenue sharing program, building a community and interacting with others and to meet new users.

Hi George,

I don’t see the “Adsense” link anywhere in your Dashboard, I only have these categories in the left menu:
Posts
Media
Comments
Profile
Tools

Also I’d like to ask, the advertiser ID is of course my own, to be entered, but what about the “ad slot”, should I copy/paste the number you wrote or should I create a new ad in my own AdSense and copy the ID number from there?

Thanks!

@Klaus – thanks for bringing that to my attention. I checked and somehow it was not set for contributors. There was an upgrade the other day and I think it went back to default settings. I have changed it now.

The pub-id is your own and the ad slot is the one from Google Adsense that you created in your account. Once you create one, it will give it to you, use that and all should be ok.
