In any test nothing beats preparedness and positive thinking. Science would say that calm nerves can keep your focus and alertness. Give yourself ample time to prepare and keep yourself healthy all the time.
The MCSE test is considered a difficult exam. Many have tried but only a few survived. This is probably one of the reasons why a passer becomes a valuable asset to the company or to the industry.

Some steps on how to pass the MCSE certification test:
- Select a MCSE certification test that suits you: Microsoft Windows Server 2003 and Microsoft Windows 2000
- Sign up for training: Microsoft requires an applicant for a MCSE certification to undergo training. You can enroll in their boot camp or may find a reputable company who has a Microsoft boot camp. Follow with diligence and disciple the instructions of the course.
- Get all the required PrepKits: a MCSE Certification Test Prep software, simulator and the needed readings and practice exam. Find a simulator that suits you. Make sure that it has study guides that has sample questions and answers that may be similar to those in the real exams.
- Read other MCSE books online or on hard copy: Buy the latest or most recommended books and other materials. Find second hand from eBay or other networking sites. Usually those who have passed the exams would just sell off their stuff after.
- Study, study, study: There is no replacement for study. Take note of the key areas and topics to be mastered. Adopt a schedule of studying and map out the topics throughout the period you’ve given yourself for review. To enhance better concentration, find a place in your home where you could concentrate. It is important that you put all your materials and hardware needed for the review in that area. Just make sure it is no one disturbs that area. In all directed efforts towards a goal discipline is very important.
- During the last weeks of preparation devote your time to practice exams: Familiarize yourself with the exam set-up. By this time your study schedule should be more relaxed.
- Pray: Always devote time to meditation and prayer. For non believers, taking a break to meditate can renew the energy of your body. Like prayer, you could detoxify your head by adopting a mental exercise that could relax the brain and could invite positive energies.
So, did you ever follow some of the steps mentioned above? Do you have another step to add to the current list? Your feedback is important, so let us know what you thought.
