Wordpress Project Icon is over

Hi guys and girls,

well, this post is a bit late and I am sorry for that. I saw that Wordpress has made its icon choice – code name ‘Project Icon’. It has gone with “BD” as in Ben Dunkle, with 35% of the votes. I voted for VS and it came in second place, next time. They display the details of the survey, going into some details about the metaphors and showing first and second place icons.

The image to the left is of the winner, the icons can be seen clearly. I would like to know what you think of the winner? Did you choose the winner?

I’m sure even plugin developers could of learnt a bit from the survey, see what the users like and dislike. They could use the knowledge gathered and better structure their plugins. I’m not saying they are badly structure, don’t get me wrong. They could just learn something.

The post goes into detail and this is a very good thing, if this is going to be the trend that Wordpress follows, then I can’t wait to see Wordpress in 3 to 5 years.
