Hello fellow readers,
today started great until I remembered that I had made an appointment for my car to be serviced.
My Golf 4 TDI gets serviced at the dealership every 15000km. So I dropped off my car and walked to work. It’s about 500m from where I work, so that was a bargain for me. My car is great in general, but everytime I take it for a service I get smacked with a huge bill.
Anyway, I get a call that they need to replace the back brakes and the battery and a few other small things, I say its ok and they can continue. I get a sms mid afternoon to tell me the car is finished and that the total owing is R5392.15 ($539). WTF, this is an arm and a leg for some people. I am planning to go on a holiday ship cruize and this just smacked me silly. I must say that the previous service costed me over R5000 ($500) aswell and I was shocked. I will think twice before I take my car back there again.
I just hope the rest of the week is better, I need some good news.
